Muškarac koji je u mjestu Berek počinio brutalno ubojstvo, prethodno je na društvenim mrežama objavio uznemirujući video koji je nagovijestio tragediju. Na snimci se vidi kako se vozi automobilom, sluša glazbu ljubavne tematike i izgovara rečenicu: “Danas je game over”, prije nego što naglo ubrzava do 170 km/h. Video je objavio neposredno prije zločina, a prenio ga je MojPortal.
Oko 22:30, isti muškarac je iz automatske puške usmrtio mlađeg muškarca D.Z., navodno iz ljubomore jer njegova bivša djevojka, s kojom je bio devet godina u vezi, ima novog partnera. Djevojka je uspjela pobjeći i skloniti se kod susjeda.
Ubojica je uhićen nakon višesatne potrage u kojoj su sudjelovali i pripadnici specijalne jedinice ATJ Lučko.
